Australian Artist Aelita Andre has opened her first art exhibition in New York – even though she is only four years old.
Possibly the the youngest ever professional artist, her paintings on show at the Agora Gallery, Manhattan, are already selling, some pieces are priced up to $9,900 (£6,000) each.
Proud parents, Nikka Kalashnikova and Michael Andre, both artists, celebrate the innocence of their daughter’s art adopting a hands off approach.
“There’s no education, no understanding of art history or of art movements, no intimidation… I’m just so curious to see what someone in that position produces” says Michael Andre.
Aelita had her first exhibition at age two.
